In the few months that I have been back teaching classes and paper crafting in general I have avoided involving myself if any particular forums or challenges online. This was a large feature in my previous years in this world and I know how time consuming it can be. I get so involved that I lose myself in all kinds of things, all good but given my time constraints at the moment my new venture needs all I can give it. However I have kept one eye scanning the wonder web, you never know, something might just catch my eye and imaginaton.
This week I stumbled across “Less is More” challenge blog. I think the colour combination swung it in truth, I love lime & black plus the clean and simple approach is always a good one. So this week I let myself have a go and my effort is shown below.
I used all Stampin’ Up! products of course. This colour palate is Lucky Limeade, Basic Black and Whisper White. This favourite stamp set ‘Flowering Flourishes’ [126367] stands on its own for once instead of sitting in the background of my projects. It is really quite simply striking on its own it has to be said.
I edged the image a little with a back Stampin’ Write marker and added a bit ‘o’ bling with rhinestones, dazzling diamond glitter and a scrap of black satin ribbon made a small bow. Very few and very simple additions. The ‘hi’ sentiment is from Fabulous Phrases Set [120501] and is layered using our smaller circle punches and the new 3/4″ circle scallop punch [129404], very cute. I think this fits the brief, apologies if it doesn’t but I quite enjoyed doing that for no other reason than it was fun! Thank you for the inspiration all at Less is More. I may have to tune in again next week now!
Go check it out for yourself. There is some great inspiration to be found.
